Carte blanche to Yann L’Outsider is the inaugural exhibition of a long-term collaboration between Hatchikian Gallery and the Quai 36 Art Production House. Yann L’Outsider has been the link between these two partners, accompanying his artistic research: Hatchikian Gallery for the works in the studio and Quai 36 for the realization of monumental projects in public space. We had the opportunity to tell the beautiful story of these encounters in our previous Art Paper.
Remed employs a very unique visual language through a work that is resolutely sunny and warm: a way of celebrating life and love, and of transcribing into art what transcends us and connects us. A universal artistic language that brings together aesthetic emotion, the laws of science, mathematics, and the symbolic dimension, for a cosmogony in which forms, lines, and colors weave these myths and parables that are the founding myths of civilizations that narrate the specificities of the human condition.
Steph Cop inscribes his artistic research in immersion in the ecosystem of the Morvan where he has installed his studio. The sculpture is part of a vital cycle in which the artist explores its extent. By carving the fallen trees, he prolongs their destiny in figures that perpetuate the memory of history. In the unfolding of his work, the Fragments are a series of carved sculptures that hold a special place. Interlude? Transition between two movements? A sequence of sculpture as an artistic moment in suspense that marks the end of the ARO cycle embodied in movement IX and the momentum towards a new creative dynamic, a momentum towards the monumental.
