Who is Emanuelle Rybojad?

Young plastic artist Emmanuelle Rybojad is a material alchemist. The creator with a biting dynamism has become one of the rising figures of contemporary art in less than a year; her works have been exhibited in renowned galleries in New York, Singapore and Paris, London and Geneva. Intuitive and bursting with ambition, she experiments with processes, masters materials, defies perspectives and dares to do things differently.

Self-taught, she became immersed in art from an early age alongside a husband-in-law who was a collector and who introduced her to the great artistic movements. Emmanuelle is interested in all forms of art and develops a multifaceted and profound curiosity. This curiosity leads her to consider art in ways other than on the walls.

The works of Emmanuelle Rybojad are resolutely contemporary, imbued with a multi-generational modernity that challenges and encourages introspection. Inspired by the symbols of Pop culture and the 1970s, she opens her studio to new materials and works with a variety of media: mirrors, neon lights, and LEDs.

»I met Emmanuelle Rybojad in 2017. Her work on the effects of light multiplied in a kinetic depth through games of mirrors and incandescent neon immediately caught my eye. This young plastic artist, radiating with her creative boldness, is now among the established contemporary artists.

Emmanuelle Rybojad’s works create echoes of light in space that transport us into the vertigo of the infinite possibilities. With the irreverence inspired by pop culture, the artist defies our established norms to place us in front of flashes of light that dart away from us like the fragments of an elusive truth.
